The best compliment a paint protection film install can get is a question: “Is there even film on it?” Clear PPF is supposed to disappear. No line across the hood, no lifted corners, no stretch marks, no dirt trapped underneath, no knife marks in the paint.
The film itself is only part of that. The rest is prep, patterns and patience — here is how we do it on every car, from a partial front to a full body.

What we check before you take the car home: every edge down and wrapped wherever the panel allows, nothing trapped under the film, no lift lines or stretch marks, and the same finish from panel to panel. If it does not pass under our lights, it does not leave.
Step by step
1. Walk-around and a coverage plan
We walk the car with you, mark any chips and scratches that are already there, and pick the coverage that fits how you drive — partial front, full front, track pack or full body. You get a clear price before we start.
2. Wash, decontamination and polish
Film locks in whatever is underneath it, so the paint has to be as clean as it will ever be. The car is washed, then decontaminated with an iron remover and clay to pull out everything bonded to the surface. Light polishing is included, the panels are wiped down, and the edges and gaps where the film will wrap are cleaned out.

3. Patterns cut for your exact car
The film is computer-cut for your exact year, make and model, so almost all of the cutting happens before the film ever touches the car. Patterns are built with extra material where the edges can wrap around the panel, and with no relief cuts in visible areas.
4. Laid wet and squeegeed by hand
Each piece floats on slip solution, which lets us slide it into the exact position. Then the solution is squeegeed out by hand, panel by panel, and edges are wrapped around the panel wherever it allows. A wrapped edge has no line for dirt to collect in and nothing for a pressure washer to catch.

5. Post-heat and an overnight cure
Every edge is post-heated so it stays down for the life of the film. Then the car stays in the studio overnight to cure, indoors and out of the weather, before the final check.

6. Inspection and hand-over
The whole car is inspected under our lights, edge by edge. We walk you through care, and you leave with the warranty.

Coverage options
| Package | What it covers | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Partial front | Partial hood and fenders, full front bumper, side mirrors | From $1,200 |
| Full front | Full hood and fenders with no visible line, front bumper, mirrors; headlights on request | Quote per vehicle |
| Track pack | Everything in full front, plus rocker panels, A-pillars and the roof edge | Quote per vehicle |
| Full body | Every painted panel, in gloss or a matte/satin finish | Quote per vehicle |
Partial front is the budget-friendly way to protect the panels that take the most hits; the trade-off is a film edge across the hood and fenders. Full front covers those panels completely, so there is no line to see.
The films we use
Only top-tier, self-healing urethane: X GUARD, our premier film, backed by a lifetime warranty against yellowing, cracking, bubbling and peeling; and STEK DynoShield, with a hydrophobic top coat and a 12-year warranty, plus DynoMatte if you want to turn gloss paint satin. Light swirls and scuffs in the top coat close up with heat — sunlight, warm water or a heat gun.
The first weeks
- Tiny moisture spots under the film are normal at first and clear on their own within days as the last of the solution dries out.
- Wait a week before the first wash. After that, hand wash and keep a pressure washer nozzle away from the film edges.
- Not normal: dirt trapped under the film, a lifting edge or a crease. Bring it back and we fix our install.
- Want it to stay cleaner? A ceramic coating over the film makes the filmed and bare panels bead water and wash the same way.
Quick answers
How long will you have my car?
Most front-end packages take 1–2 days. Full body takes up to a week, because every panel is done right.
Will PPF hide the chips I already have?
No — film protects against new chips, it does not erase old ones. That is why we mark existing damage with you before we start.
Can the film be removed later?
Yes. Removed by a professional, it peels off cleanly from healthy factory paint — one reason it is so popular on leased and new cars.
Clear or matte?
Clear gloss keeps your paint looking exactly as it does now. Matte film turns gloss paint satin while protecting it, and comes off if you ever want the gloss back. Color PPF changes the color too — see how we do color changes.
Ready to stop rock chips for good?
Tell us the car and the coverage you are thinking about. We will send an exact price, usually the same business day.
