Windshieldprotectionfilm.

One rock off a gravel truck on I-85 can mean a new windshield, a camera recalibration and a day without the car. An optically clear film on the outside of the glass takes those hits instead.

Why protect the glass

The rock hits the film,
not the glass

On a modern car the windshield carries cameras and sensors, holds up the roof and can cost well over $1,000 to replace once recalibration is included.

Chips

Fewer chips & cracks

Gravel off a truck, sand in a construction zone, debris on the interstate: the film absorbs the small hits that start a chip.

Glare

No pitting, less glare

Highway miles sandblast glass into tiny pits that turn headlights into starbursts. The film takes that wear, and film can be replaced.

OEM

Keep the factory windshield

No cut-out, no new urethane and no camera recalibration. The factory seal and calibration stay exactly as they left the plant.

Clear

Same view, same look

The film is optically clear. From the driver's seat and from outside, the car looks exactly the same.

Outside & inside

Rocks on the outside,
heat on the inside

Protection film goes on the outside of the windshield. Heat-rejection film goes on the inside. They do different jobs and work together.

Chip repair is a good fix after the fact, but it only treats damage you already have. Film is the only option here that works before the rock arrives.

Not bulletproof

A big rock at highway speed, or a hit right at the edge of the glass, can still crack a windshield. The film improves the odds against the everyday small stuff.

Not a repair

Small chips get repaired before the film goes on. If the glass is already cracked, it gets replaced first.

A wear layer

Depending on miles and wiper use, the film is typically replaced every one to three years. You replace a film, not a windshield.

Not window tint

Protection film is clear and goes on the outside. Heat rejection is X Clear, a separate film on the inside.

Clean & lay the film

The glass is deep-cleaned, then the film goes on the outside of the windshield, the side the rocks actually hit.

Trim to the edge

The film is trimmed right to the edge of the glass. A clean edge tight to the trim is what keeps it from lifting at highway speed.

Squeegee & drive away

Water is pushed out and the film is set. A slight haze or small water pockets can show for the first few days while it dries. That is normal.

FAQ

Windshield film questions

Still unsure? Call or text (864) 510-8617.

How much does it cost?+

$450 installed. That is a fraction of a replacement, especially on a car with cameras and sensors behind the glass.

Can you see the film?+

Not from the driver's seat. It is optically clear, and on the car it is hard to spot even from outside.

How long does it last?+

Typically one to three years, depending on highway miles and how often the wipers run. When it is worn, we replace the film, not the glass.

Can it go on a windshield that already has a chip?+

Small chips should be repaired first so they cannot spread under the film. If the glass is already cracked, it needs to be replaced before film goes on.

Will it stop every crack?+

No film can promise that. It stops most of the small-debris hits that cause chips and pitting, which is what ends most windshields.

How do I care for it?+

Replace old wiper blades, never run the wipers on a dry windshield, skip ice scrapers and razor blades, and clean it with a soft microfiber and an ammonia-free glass cleaner.

Where are you located?+
