What is Paint Protection Film?
Paint Protection Film — also known as PPF or clear bra — is a thick, optically clear urethane film professionally applied to your vehicle’s painted surfaces. It creates an invisible shield that absorbs rock chips, scratches, and road debris before they reach your paint — keeping your vehicle looking flawless without changing its appearance.
How long does PPF last?
A professionally installed PPF lasts 7–10 years with proper care. It is one of the longest-lasting protection products available for your vehicle. Most premium films also come with a manufacturer warranty against yellowing, cracking, bubbling, and peeling. Regular maintenance and proper washing will keep your film performing at its best for the full lifespan.
Does PPF change the look of my car?
No. Clear PPF is optically transparent and virtually invisible once installed by a professional. Your vehicle looks exactly the same — just permanently protected. Matte PPF is also available if you want to convert your gloss paint to a satin finish while adding protection at the same time.
Can PPF be removed without damaging my paint?
Yes — when removed correctly by a professional. The film peels away cleanly without damaging the paint underneath as long as the original paint is in good condition. This makes PPF a perfect option for leased vehicles, new car owners, and anyone who wants to preserve their factory paint long term.
What areas of my car can be protected with PPF?
PPF can be applied to any painted surface on your vehicle. The most common coverage areas include:
· Full hood and bumper
· Fenders and side mirrors
· Headlights and fog lights
· Rocker panels and door edges
· Door cup handles
· Trunk ledge
· Full body coverage

Can I combine PPF with ceramic coating?
Absolutely — and we highly recommend it. PPF handles physical impact protection while ceramic coating adds hydrophobic properties, UV resistance, and a deep gloss finish on top of the film. Together they give your vehicle the most complete protection available. PPF stops rock chips and physical damage while ceramic coating repels water, dirt, and UV rays — the ultimate combination for any vehicle.
Is PPF worth the cost?
Yes — especially on a new or high-value vehicle. A single rock chip repair on a luxury or exotic vehicle can cost $300–$800 or more. PPF prevents that damage entirely and preserves your paint’s condition and resale value for years. When you factor in the cost of paint repairs, touch-ups, and depreciation from paint damage — PPF pays for itself. Most customers consider it the best investment they make for their vehicle.
